Dorsa is working with the homeowners of this Shelter Island property to design and build a four season pool house.
Working with the lead architect and homeowners, Dorsa has developed plans and designs for the pool house, which will complement the completed pool. She provided a phased project build-out approach, coordinating with the necessary parties to obtain permits and updates for the septic system.
North Avenida Caballeros Renovation

Dorsa expertly managed the full renovation of a stunning townhouse in Palm Springs, CA, resulting in a breathtaking Mod Med inspired vacation home. Together with Sogol Décor, the team selected all the finishes and furnishings to create a cohesive and luxurious atmosphere. With close coordination between the designer, architect, contractors, and clients, Dorsa ensured a smooth project delivery. The impressive transformation of the space is a testament to Dorsa's attention to detail and expertise in project management.
Osprey Road Site Design

Dorsa was introduced to this project after construction began on the guest house on this 2 acre property. The main concern was to create flexible open space while prioritizing privacy from the main house and pool to the newly constructed guest house. Dorsa worked together with the homeowner, builder and White Oak Farm & Gardens to revitalize the landscape design. The creation of a meandering path and dense planting zones helped to separate the new construction from the existing home.
The design resulted in a magical and secluded garden space while providing property-wide landscape enhancements.

Hyatt Road Expansion + Renovation

Dorsa is working with the owners of this existing home overlooking New York's Sound to create the clients ultimate sanctuary. The project consists of a building expansion and gut renovation as well as a new pool deck and exterior amenity space. Dorsa is currently working with the interdisciplinary team on permitting, designing, planning, scheduling and budgeting needs of the project. The project is in the design development phase with a target built date of Winter 2024/2025.
Ram Island Drive Site Design

Dorsa collaborated with the homeowners and Architect to bring to life the vision for this exquisite Shelter Island retreat with panoramic views of Coecles Harbor. From enhancing the allure of the new pool deck to crafting the hardscape design and curating the perfect selection of plantings, every detail was carefully considered. The use of indigenous flora not only enhanced the pool deck but also harmonized effortlessly within the newly established wetland buffer along the shoreline. The result is a harmonious fusion of luxury and natural splendor.
Fashion Boutique Hotel Renovation

As the project manager, Dorsa successfully oversaw the renovation of a 46-room boutique hotel located in the heart of South Beach's Entertainment District in collaboration with Sogol Décor. Her expertise in project tracking, scheduling, budgeting, and client/vendor communication was instrumental in ensuring the project's success, all while maintaining the hotel's active operations during the renovation process.
Dinah Rock Road Renovation

As the Owner's Representative, Dorsa oversaw the renovation and site planning of this charming 1775 cottage for the new owner. The project included a phased approach with future plans for a garage/pool house and pool development. The project posed challenges such as the home's hillside location and the need for new property-wide systems like septic and code improvements. Dorsa collaborated with the homeowner and Studio BZB to coordinate the renovation and design of both the home interiors and exteriors.
Division Street Site Design
Sag Harbor, NY

Dorsa was commissioned by two veterans of Hamptons real estate to design the landscape elements of this historic gem in the heart of Sag Harbor village. Originally built in the 1860's, the house was taken down to the studs in 2022 and renovated with an eye towards the details that epitomize Sag Harbor charm. The exterior of the property expertly merges traditional and contemporary Hamptons aesthetics, with classic Hydrangea hedges, pea gravel driveway and bluestone walkways, herb garden, and a dedicated grill area.
Rebel Road Site Design

Dorsa was tasked with the site planning of this Shelter Island residence. The homeowners looked to Dorsa to assist with the design and layout of a new pool and new 2-car garage proposal for the property.
Dorsa worked with the homeowner and their general contractor to make sure the new design would feature existing materials located on the main house and existing landscape.
White Oak Farms & Garden provided the landscape design and implementation services and worked with Dorsa's proposed site plan to create a balance of open space and privacy throughout the property.
Dumbarton Street Interior Design

Dorsa and Sogol Décor were tasked with combining two distinct spaces, The Hillyer Penthouse and Downey Road Home, into this one unique home on Dumbarton Street. Dorsa collaborated with the designer and homeowners on move and storage logistics, as well as procurement of several new furnishings needed to create this cohesive space.

Robin Lane Site Design

Dorsa worked with the homeowners of this single family home to revitalize the use of their balcony as well as create additional programming on site. As an avid golfing family, Dorsa worked together with the homeowner to design a backyard putting green to be enjoyed by family and friends.
North Oak Avenue Renovation

Dorsa provided consultation to the new homeowner of this Coconut Grove townhome for the design and layout of a full home renovation and expansion project. Dorsa's recommendations and adjustments to the Architect's plans were made to better address the client's current and future needs.
West Neck Road Site Design

Dorsa served as both a designer and owners representative for this 2.3 acre Shelter Island property, overseeing its buildout and renovation. The project included the design and build of a stunning landscape, featuring a lavish pool and bluestone patio, retaining walls, and extensive site grading and landscaping.
The design also incorporated a well-sized soccer pitch, several seating areas, and gathering spaces perfect for hosting and entertaining friends. In addition, the landscape design included a new pea gravel and steel edge driveway, connecting the main house, guest cottage, and pool house/garage.
West Neck Guest Cottage Renovation

Dorsa oversaw the design and construction of this Shelter Island property, working closely with the homeowners, general contractors, and health department to ensure the successful execution of the project. The guest house renovation, pool, and patio were the first phase of this development.
Dorsa was brought on during the permitting phase and has managed the project ensuring that all aspects of the estate redesign and renovation meet the client's needs and expectations. The project is now complete and ready for the homeowners to enjoy their new island getaway.

The final design resulted in an abundance of open space and flexible programming options, providing the family with ample opportunity to enjoy their beautiful and shaded property to the fullest.
Lilliput Lane Site Design

Dorsa collaborated with the homeowners of this Shelter Island property to enhance the patio layout, circulation, and garden design. She was brought onto the project after the pool construction had started, and skillfully integrated the pool location into the overall property design and programming.
Additionally, Dorsa played a key role in designing and implementing two access points, including a new exterior staircase that provides easy access to a recently renovated basement.
Hillyer Place Penthouse Renovation

As Sogol Décor's procurement and project manager, Dorsa oversaw the design and build of a stunning three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath penthouse in Washington D.C. Dorsa's involvement began during the sub-floor phase of the development, where she worked closely with the developer to re-work the floor plan and specify architectural details and materials based on the clients needs.
Throughout the project, Dorsa managed all furniture and finish orders and installations for Sogol Décor, coordinating carefully with the developer and contractors to ensure smooth progress during the pandemic. The finished home features unique custom furniture from Europe and one-of-a-kind finishes, creating a truly exceptional living space.
Hillyer Place Penthouse Roof Site Design

Dorsa designed and managed the implementation of this Dupont, DC Penthouse rooftop oasis, perfect for relaxation and evening gatherings with stunning views of Washington, DC. The plantings incorporated low-maintenance native grasses and natural pollinators.
Dorsa collaborated with the property developer, landscape contractor and irrigation specialist to ensure the project was seamlessly executed, including designing gas, water, and electrical layouts to best fit the final design.
Hillyer Place Terrace Site Design

Dorsa worked closely with the property developer to expand this Washington, DC condo by creating an outdoor terrace on the second floor of the Penthouse unit. To enhance the living space, the team introduced arched steel doorways that lead out to the new terrace.
The terrace boasts a stunning steel sculpture from the client's expansive art collection and a pair of vintage Vladimir Kagan chairs, adding to its appeal.
19th Street NW Penthouse Renovation

Dorsa collaborated with Sogol Décor to oversee the procurement and project management of a historic DC property, including a gut renovation of the owner's 2-floor penthouse apartment and three rental units. Dorsa's exceptional organization and task management skills were essential to the successful and timely completion of this multifaceted project.

Laverock Place Renovation

Dorsa played a crucial role as project manager in this interior design project that involved transforming a home into a sanctuary in Washington DC's Palisades neighborhood. The client engaged Sogol Décor to realize their vision for the space, and Dorsa worked closely with the design team to ensure the project was completed within budget and on time.
Dorsa oversaw the renovation process, which included the removal of several interior walls to create an open floor layout. Dorsa managed the procurement of custom furnishings from top Italian and European manufacturers, including unique pieces sourced during Sogol and Dorsa's annual visit to the Maison et Objet trade show in Paris.
Dorsa coordinated with a diverse range of specialists and contractors to ensure the project ran smoothly and aligned with the client's desires.
Hydroponic Urban Farm

As a project consultant, Dorsa played a key role in the development of a proposed Hydroponic Urban Farm in Miami's Allapattah neighborhood. The project involved the conversion of a 4,300 sf industrial warehouse into a container farming production space. The Farm aimed to provide an innovative source of urban farming and local food production while promoting community engagement and empowerment. Specifically, the project sought to improve access to fresh produce for low to moderate income (LMI) residents in the area. Dorsa's contributions included concept development, partnership sourcing, and conducting a pre-feasibility study to secure grant-funding for the project.
Downey Street Renovation

Dorsa served as the managing director for Sogol Décor's interior design project of a historic Edwardian San Francisco home, with the client's goal of restoring the home's original charm. The project included restoring the intricate woodwork throughout the 3-story home with the help of restoration specialists and craftsmen. Additionally, Dorsa collaborated with the designer in reupholstering selected antique furniture from the client's personal collection to give it a modern and elegant look. Dorsa's responsibilities included cost management, vendor coordination, product procurement, and scheduling for this unique West Coast project.
