West Neck Road Site Design

Dorsa served as both a designer and owners representative for this 2.3 acre Shelter Island property, overseeing its buildout and renovation. The project included the design and build of a stunning landscape, featuring a lavish pool and bluestone patio, retaining walls, and extensive site grading and landscaping.
The design also incorporated a well-sized soccer pitch, several seating areas, and gathering spaces perfect for hosting and entertaining friends. In addition, the landscape design included a new pea gravel and steel edge driveway, connecting the main house, guest cottage, and pool house/garage.
Osprey Road Site Design

Dorsa was introduced to this project after construction began on the guest house on this 2 acre property. The main concern was to create flexible open space while prioritizing privacy from the main house and pool to the newly constructed guest house. Dorsa worked together with the homeowner, builder and White Oak Farm & Gardens to revitalize the landscape design. The creation of a meandering path and dense planting zones helped to separate the new construction from the existing home.
The design resulted in a magical and secluded garden space while providing property-wide landscape enhancements.

Rebel Road Site Design

Dorsa was tasked with the site planning of this Shelter Island residence. The homeowners looked to Dorsa to assist with the design and layout of a new pool and new 2-car garage proposal for the property.
Dorsa worked with the homeowner and their general contractor to make sure the new design would feature existing materials located on the main house and existing landscape.
White Oak Farms & Garden provided the landscape design and implementation services and worked with Dorsa's proposed site plan to create a balance of open space and privacy throughout the property.
Baldwin Road Site Design

Dorsa collaborated with the homeowners of this Shelter Island property to create a site plan for a new 2-car garage, pool, and patio space. The design underwent several iterations to ensure the proposed locations and sizes of the programs aligned with the client's needs and vision.
The final design resulted in an abundance of open space and flexible programming options, providing the family with ample opportunity to enjoy their beautiful and shaded property to the fullest.
Division Street Landscape Design
Sag Harbor, NY

Dorsa was commissioned by two veterans of Hamptons real estate to design the landscape elements of this historic gem in the heart of Sag Harbor village. Originally built in the 1860's, the house was taken down to the studs in 2022 and renovated with an eye towards the details that epitomize Sag Harbor charm. The exterior of the property expertly merges traditional and contemporary Hamptons aesthetics, with classic Hydrangea hedges, pea gravel driveway and bluestone walkways, herb garden, and a dedicated grill area.
Hillyer Place Penthouse Roofdeck Design
Washington, DC

Dorsa designed and managed the implementation of this Dupont, DC Penthouse rooftop oasis, perfect for relaxation and evening gatherings with stunning views of Washington, DC. The plantings incorporated low-maintenance native grasses and natural pollinators.
Dorsa collaborated with the property developer, landscape contractor and irrigation specialist to ensure the project was seamlessly executed, including designing gas, water, and electrical layouts to best fit the final design.
Lilliput Lane Landscape Design

Status: Completed 2022
Dorsa collaborated with the homeowners of this Shelter Island property to enhance the patio layout, circulation, and garden design. She was brought onto the project after the pool construction had started, and skillfully integrated the pool location into the overall property design and programming.
Additionally, Dorsa played a key role in designing and implementing two access points, including a new exterior staircase that provides easy access to a recently renovated basement.
Hillyer Place Terrace Design
Washington, DC
Status: Completed 2021
Dorsa worked closely with the property developer to expand this Washington, DC condo by creating an outdoor terrace on the second floor of the Penthouse unit. To enhance the living space, the team introduced arched steel doorways that lead out to the new terrace.
The terrace boasts a stunning steel sculpture from the client's expansive art collection and a pair of vintage Vladimir Kagan chairs, adding to its appeal.
Robin Lane Site Design

Dorsa worked with the homeowners of this single family home to revitalize the use of their balcony as well as create additional programming on site. As an avid golfing family, Dorsa worked together with the homeowner to design a backyard putting green to be enjoyed by family and friends.
